What products does the company Onlinelib offer?

VCS video Communication server family
The Video Communication Server (VCS) streaming server is a Unix-based, in-house development of Onlinelib. This industry solution is capable of streaming videos and live events to clients such as Adobe´s Flash Player and terminals such as Apple´s iPhone or Sony´s Playstation 3 via the Internet or Intranet.

Another of Onlinelibs core businesses is the development of streaming networks, also known as CDNs or Content Delivery Networks. Onlinelibs CDN solution is the first solution in the world to provide customised CDNs tailored specifically to the customers needs.

In addition to the software licensing model, there is also the option of renting a VCS solution. Until now, such solutions were only available as provider services. This solution offers the benefit of a lower traffic and web space price compared with the CDN providers price for streaming traffic.

Another advantage is the unique combination of geographically independent server locations. Visitors who reach the customers portal are directed specifically to the optimal server location.

OES - Onlinelib Encoding Solutions

In addition to providing streaming solutions, the daily requirements of TV stations, web portals and production studios also include converting various video formats to Flash, Silverlight or mobile devices.

To this end, Onlinelib offers Onlinelib Encoding Solutions (OES). This server-side solution, which comprises both hardware and software components, offers our customers up to 40 video input and output formats. The core element of this solution is the engine, which runs with Windows Server 2003 and 2008 (32-bit or 64-bit) and offers a stable 24/7 operation. All settings are configured over a web interface.
